  • Et al started with the idea of accumulation, how jewellery can exist as a base structure that gathers meaning over time. The phrase et al, meaning “and others” felt like a way of leaving space open within the object itself, allowing it to expand through what is added to it, both materially and personally.

    The links in the chain are made individually and joined to create a continuous piece. The construction is intentionally slow and repetitive, allowing small variations in form to build a rhythm across the length of each piece. The links are stretched into an oval and then pinched at the centre to form a small figure-of-eight, a decision driven both by function, allowing charms to slip on and off easily, and by a desire for a finer, more textured visual language.

    Finished with a clean, functional clasp designed to support weight and layering. Substantial yet fluid in movement.

    Short sits close to the base of the neck and collar bone. Mid sits high on the chest, and is the most common standard necklace length. Long sits low on the bust and feels more relaxed.
